Blind Mandrel with No. 2 Morse Taper**.  Currently only available in #2 Morse Taper.  Sizes smaller than 1/4" are possible by cutting down the 1/4" portion of the mandrel at an additional cost.  It is suggested to not go smaller than 15/64" unless it is acceptable for us to shorten the rod.  Contact us if you need a size not listed in the options above.  Please allow additional time for your order to ship if you order any size other than 1/4" - as we cut them to order and will need to work that into our schedule.

This mandrel allows easy turning of pre-drilled duck call keg blanks. Put the mandrel in, slide the blank on, and pinch the blank on the mandrel with the tail stock and turn a way!  The blank is held by the pressure exerted on the blank by the tail stock and the spurs on the driving face of the mandrel on the taper side.  It is sometimes handy to have a collet chuck as well, so you can then remove the keg from the mandrel, mount in the collet chuck and turn the face of the keg.

**  Be sure to check your taper size on your lathe before purchasing.  #1 Morse taper is ≈.475" at the large diameter side of the taper.  #2 Morse Taper is ≈.700" at the large diameter side of the taper.  Tapers are NOT interchangable without adapter sockets.  We have seen many of the import lathes with incorrect taper specifications in the manual (ie Manual says #1 MT, but the machine actually has a #2MT) - so be sure to check before you order.
